[solved] Download Instagram Reels in full HD without third party app

If you often produce short video content, you may have already looked for a way to download existing reels to remix them in your own video. There are dozens of websites that offer you exactly that. But usually only as 720p and not as HD video. Fortunately, you can also do it directly in the Instagram app without such sites.

open Reel in Instagram App
select Share Icon -> scroll to options at bottom -> download
done

Limitations:

Only works if the particular account has allowed the download of reels
