[solved] Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Fatal Error UE

I recently had a problem with Clair Obscur where the game kept crashing with a fatal error when loading my savegame.

In the meantime I was able to load an old savegame, only to have the same problem again a little later. I have tried several solutions. For example, checking the game files, deactivating Steam Overlay etc.

What solved the problem for me in the end was the following tip I found on Steam.

delete the games config file

you can find it here: C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Sandfall\Saved\Config\Windows

Afterwards you should see a “running benchmark” when starting the game and then be able to start your save game again.
